AHN knows that your well-being extends beyond visits to the doctor’s office. Here are some resources to help navigate through the healthcare experience.

Care in your Language

You have the right to care in your language, as well as American Sign Language. You can get these services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ask your provider for care in your language. You can also ask your health plan directly for interpreting or translation services, information in your language or another format such as large print or audio, or auxiliary aids and services. Evaluation of New Technology

At AltaMed Health Network, Inc. (AHN), we stay updated on the latest changes and advances in health care. We assess and evaluate new medical technologies and new applications of existing technologies that can improve the health outcomes, health care quality, reduce the cost of healthcare, or improve member satisfaction. We decide whether to adopt new technology after a careful review of scientific materials and information from governmental agencies and health care professionals. Members and Providers can contact AHN for assistance in requesting their Health Plan to review new technology.

Nurse Advice

You have the option to speak with an Advice Nurse. Advice nurses are registered nurses who have special training to answer your questions about health problems and help you decide how to manage minor illnesses. You can contact your health plan’s nurse advice line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at:
